“Independence”
Dear Valued Visitors,
Dear Valued Members,
Dear Friends,
After The Njegos Fund’s (TNF) Senate voted its refunding into Njegoskij Fund (TNjF) at the end of December 2004, it had been decided as a third step in the life of our renovated Fund, to fully open our historical archives to the public in the form of a digital database.

With this aim in view, at the end of January 2005, the former private Internet portal of The Njegos Fund had moved into a public website, The Njegoskij Fund Public Project (TNjFPP), essentially devoted, by the way of our collections, to the Petrovic Njegos Dynasty, the history and the culture of Montenegro.
Face to the interest caused by our project and the increasing comments of our visitors and friends, going all in the direction to transform our historical portal into a true platform of general information, our website had gradually grown rich by new sections open on modern Montenegro.
But with this unexpected development of our website, and the increasingly important participative dimension that it took month after month, its initial design in static pages quickly seemed to us unsuited to the orientation desired by our readers, and with a truly collaborative work.
This is why, in the mid-2007, we decided to set up a new dynamic website, with an architecture voluntarily open on the international cyber-community, by adopting the multilingual server of publication SPIP as core of our new Internet project, baptized for the occasion “Independence”.
The time for us to translate the archives of our former portal in the various languages of our new website and to rebuilt our document database, we will regularly enrich each one of its sections with new additions, while trying in the same time to do our best to make our website as interactive and associative as possible.
It is my most sincere wish that the technologies implemented and the new user-interface of The Njegoskij Fund portal, like the spirit in which our website was redesigned, will meet your expectations, you will find it user-friendly and informative. Thus we would welcome any comments you may have regarding our website.
Once again, thank you for your visit, and for your continued interest and support.
Yours Sincerely,
Pierre Olivier LEROY,
Curator of the Njegoskij Fund,
Chairman of The Njegoskij Fund Network.
