International Poster and Graphic Arts Festival of Chaumont : The Njegoskij Fund exhibited a series of 143 vintage lithographies

Two days ago, on Saturday May 29, 2010, the city of Chaumont (52000), in North-East France, inaugurated the XXIst edition of its International Poster and Graphic Arts Festival (May 29-June 20), marked by an exceptional exhibition of 101 Russian posters (1920-1940) from the constructivist period lent by the National Library of Russia in Saint-Petersburg. This event, organised as part the celebrations in France of the Franco-Russian Year, was opened by the city’s Mayor and Minister of National Education, Spokesperson of the French Government, Mr. Luc Chatel, in the presence of the Russian Federation’s Ambassador in Paris, H.E. Mr. Alexander Orlov.
Since 2008, The Njegoskij Fund's exhibition “Regards de France”, May 29-30, 2010, Chaumont, France in the margin of the Festival, The Njegoskij Fund has been exhibiting in private a part of its collections, this year presenting for two days (May 29 & 30) a selection of 143 original lithographies issued from French vintage newspapers and covering the princely and royal period 1860-1912 of Montenegro. The 2010 exhibition, entitled “Regards de France”, was the first event organised by the Fund as part of its calendar of events for marking in France the Centenary of the Proclamation of the Kingdom of Montenegro (1910-2010). In the coming months, the exhibition will circulate within the Chapters of The Njegoskij Fund’s College and will be presented in several European cities.
