POLN greetings to all Christians who celebrate Christmas according to the Gregorian calendar

«The angel said to her: "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High ... his kingdom will never end."» Luke 1:30-33.

On the occasion of the great celebration of Christ’s birth, which is a day of joy for all who confess His faith, I am sending my warmest greetings to each of you — our readers, members of the Fund and friends of Montenegro around the world, who will celebrate this holy day according to the Gregorian calendar. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2008!

I pray your Christmas will be blessed with love, happiness and hope, surrounded by your nearest and dearest, in peace with yourselves and all the people in your neighbourhood and your community.

My family and I wish everyone a very Happy and Safe New Year, may 2008 bring you success in any work moved by the generosity of spirit and dedicated to the general well-being and progress, the personal and mutual happiness, and the human realisation.

2006 was the year of the recovery of our historical independence; 2007, that of an economical boom and of the effective seating of Montenegro in the international circle of Nations. My hope in this year end period and rejoicing time for all the communities is that, redistribution to all of the development benefits, ecological consciousness, citizen responsibility and social peace, be for 2008 and the years to come, the heart of the political and economical motor and of the model of society which is presently built-up, and for the future generations, in our loved Montenegro.
