H.E. Mr. Nebojsa Kaludjerovic presents his letters of credence to the President of the Republic of Costa Rica

Today, this Monday January 19, 2009 in the afternoon, took place at the Presidential Palace in Zapote, San José, Costa Rica, an official ceremony during which H.E. Mr. Nebojša Kaluđerović, GCDO, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Montenegro to Costa Rica, presented his letters of credence to the President of the Republic, H.E. Dr. Oscar Arias Sánchez, Nobel Peace Prize in 1987.

Earlier in the morning at the Casa Amarilla, Headquarters of the Ministry for Foreign Relations of Costa Rica, Ambassador Kaluđerović formally presented at 10:00am his credentials to H.E. Foreign Minister Mr. Bruno Stagno Ugarte.

First Montenegrin Ambassador accredited to Costa Rica, H.E. Mr. Kaluđerović is since August 11, 2006 the Permanent Representative of Montenegro to the United Nations. On March 31, 2007 in New York, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Montenegro, Nicolas Petrovitch Njegosh, invested Ambassador Kaluđerović with the insignia of Grand Cross in the Order of Danilo I.
Montenegro and Costa Rica established diplomatic relations on May 24, 2007 during a formal ceremony held in Podgorica, on the occasion of an official visit of Foreign Minister Stagno Ugarte to Montenegro.
