Today, this Monday January 12, 2009 at 10:00am, took place at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria, an official ceremony during which H.E. Mrs. Dragana Radulović, newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Montenegro to Austria, presented her letters of credence to the Federal President, H.E. Dr. Heinz Fischer, together with the letter of recall of her predecessor, H.E. Ambassador Vesko Garčević, who has moved on to other responsibilities within the Montenegrin Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

After welcoming Ambassador Radulović and wishing her a successful mission in the country, the Federal Head of State reiterated that Austria will continue to maintain a positive attitude towards Montenegro, especially on its path to European integration. Federal President Fischer also expressed his willingness to further develop and consolidate the relations of friendship and co-operation between Austria and Montenegro.
As for her, Ambassador Radulović assessed there is a wide range of possibilities to intensify bilateral co-operation, emphasizing great satisfaction with the high level of mutual understanding and political relations with Austria, in the context of its renewed support to Montenegro’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
Mrs. Dragana Radulović was born on September 16, 1976 in Podgorica, Montenegro. From December 2000 to May 2004, she has been Councilor for OSCE and Council of Europe, then Senior Councilor for NATO, OSCE, Council of Europe in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, after which she worked for few months for the Ministry of Interior Affairs as International Relations Adviser to the Minister (May to December 2004). In January 2005, Mrs. Radulović reintegrated the Foreign Affairs as Deputy Minister, Head of the Department for Multilateral Relations, before being appointed in April 2007 Head of the Department for EU and NATO.
Ambassador Radulović speaks English, French and Italian.
