At the end of their meeting, H.M. King Harald V and President Krivokapić concluded that the Kingdom and the Republic of Montenegro have excellent friendly relations and that it is in the interest of both countries to improve them in the future with enhanced economic co-operation.

This Royal audience is part of the two-day political and economic agenda of President Krivokapić in the Kingdom of Norway during which he already met today with H.E. Mr. Jonas Gahr Støre, Minister for Foreign Affairs, his counterpart Mr. Thorbjørn Jagland, President of the Norwegian Parliament and former Prime Minister, and members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Norwegian Parliament.
President Krivokapić also had a meeting with Mr. Arvid Grundekjøn, President of the Board of Directors of Statkraft, a 110-year old leading company in the production of electric energy in Norway, in order to promote foreign investments in the Montenegrin energy sector and to interest the Norwegian company — which opened a Belgrade Office in April 2007 to expand its leading position in the Western Balkans power market — in participating in the capital increase of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG).

Tomorrow morning, on December 2nd at 10:00am, President Krivokapić will finally deliver a speech at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) on the theme “Montenegro : Current Situation and Future Challenges”.
