Montenegrin Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Mrs. Anka Vojvodic, declared “persona non grata” and ordered to leave within 48 hours

Replying to the decision of H.E. Mrs. Anka Vojvodić, Ambassador of Montenegro to Serbia the Government of Montenegro to recognise independence of the Republic of Kosova, one hour after the pubic announcement made in Podgorica by H.E. Mr. Milan Roćen, Montenegrin Minister for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mrs. Anka Vojvodić, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Montenegro to Serbia, was summoned to the Serbian Ministry for Foreign Affairs to be handed a note officially declaring her as persona non grata (unwelcome person) in the Republic of Serbia and ordering her to leave the country within 48 hours, under Article 9 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

First appointed Ambassador to Serbia after Montenegro left the State Union following the May 21 referendum, Mrs. Anka Vojvodić took up his post in Belgrade on Thursday January 4, 2007.
