Order of Danilo I

Today, this Friday April 4, 2008 — the day after His Royal Highness Crown Prince Nicolas Petrovitch Njegosh visited the headquarters of the Italian Red Cross — took place in Rome, Italy, an exchange of protocols between the Royal Houses of Montenegro and Bagration-Mukhrani of Georgia in order to bind them together by reciprocal ties.

The formal ceremony started by the investiture of Crown Prince Nicolas with the insignia of Grand Collar in the Order of the Eagle and Tunic of Our Lord Jesus Christ of Georgia, presented in absentia to the Grand Chancellery of the Royal House Orders of Montenegro by a Delegation of the Royal House of Georgia.

Reciprocally, the Grand Chancellery of the Royal House Orders of Montenegro presented in absentia to the Delegation of the Royal House of Georgia the insignia of Knight Grand Cross in the Order of Danilo I for H.R.H. Prince David Bagration-Mukhrani of Georgia, Grand Master of the Dynastic Orders of Georgia and Head of the Royal House.

On the occasion, several members of the Magistral Council of the Dynastic Orders of Georgia were also awarded.
