Souvenir ceremony at Cetinje to the memory of late Princess France of Montenegro

Today, this Wednesday August 13, 2008 at 11:00am, The Royal Couple in 2004 during their holiday in Montenegro on the same day of the burial in Paris of Her Royal Highness Princess France of Montenegro, consort of H.R.H. Crown Prince Nicolas Petrovitch Njegosh, the Hall “Ivan Crnojević” of the Vladin Dom, the former House of the Royal Government in Cetinje, Montenegro, hosted upon initiative of Montenegrin close friends to the Royal Family — Mr. Đuro Vučinić, Mr. Stevo Vučinić, Mrs. Gordana Stevović and Dr. Bato Šuković, a public souvenir ceremony in memory to the late Princess, which was the occasion for people present to share together, in full communion with the Royal Family in Paris, their sadness after last week painful announcement of the Princess’ death, who passed away peacefully in France on last Wednesday August 6 at the Hôpital des Diaconesses in Paris XIIth, after losing a hard-fought battle against pancreatic cancer.

Several speakers, long-time Montenegrin friends of the Royal Family, From left to right: M. Stevo Vučinić, Dr. Božo Nikolić, Mrs. Gordana Stevović and Dr. Bato Šuković successively delivered beautiful and very moving testimonies, remembering ones after the others how the heart’s warmth and the kindness of the late Princess touched them all, as well as their first encounter with her in 1989 end, at the time of the ceremonies for the return of the mortal remains of Their late Majesties King Nikola I (º1841, †1921) and Queen Milena (º1847, †192"), with their two daughters, Princesses Vjera (º1887, †1927) and Ksenija (º1881, †1960).
