H.E. Mr. Branko Perovic presents his letters of credence to the President of Slovenia

Today, this Tuesday October 10, 2006, took place at the Presidential Palace in Ljubljana, Slovenia, an official ceremony during which H.E. Mr. Branko Perović, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Montenegro to Slovenia, presented his letters of credence to the President of the Republic, H.E. Dr. Janez Drnovšek.

Slovenian President Drnovšek, after welcoming H.E. Ambassador Perović and wishing him a pleasant stay in Slovenia, good luck and a lot of success in his work, praised the friendly relations between the two countries, being convinced that mutual relations would strengthen and develop in future.

As for him, H.E. Ambassador Perović after extending his thanks to President Drnovšek for the Slovenian support during Montenegrin struggle for independence, expressed his deepest respect for experience gained by Slovenia as the most successful new European Union Member State, presenting to the Head of State some foreign investments in the new State as the foreign direct investment growth this year surpassed the expectations.

Ambassador Perović concluded by being convinced that both Slovenia and Montenegro would strengthen co-operation, primarily in the economic field.
