Biographical notes on the Ambassador

Madam Milica Pejanović-Đurišić was born on April 27, 1959 in Nikšić, Montenegro.
ACADEMIC EDUCATION
• June 1987: PhD, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia.
PhD thesis: “Digital Mobile Radio Systems Performance Analysis”.
• June 1984: Master of Science (MSc) in Telecommunications, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia.
MSc memoir: “Impacts of Diversity on Error Reduction in Data Transmission Over Mobile Radio Channel”.
• January 1982: Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electronics & Telecommunications, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Montenegro, Podgorica.
During her academic studies, Madam Pejanović-Đurišić has made several specialisation stays in foreign universities, notably in Great Britain, the USA, Denmark and Italy.

She has also worked as consultant for various organisations and private companies, in particular Ericsson (Stockholm, Sweden) and Siemens (Vienna, Austria).
POLITICAL CAREER
• 1998-2002, member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party of Socialists of Montenegro (DPS).
• 1996-1998, President of the Democratic Party of Socialists of Montenegro (DPS).
• 1992-2001, member of the Parliament of the Republic of Montenegro.
• 1990-1992, elected member of the Presidency of the Republic of Montenegro.
Madam Pejanović-Đurišić is married and mother of two sons.
In addition to her mother tongue, she is fluent in French, English and Italian.
