H.E. Mr. Zeljko Perovic presents his letters of credence to the President of Albania

Today, this Monday March 31st, 2008, took place at the Presidential Palace in Tirana, Albania an official ceremony during which H.E. Mr. Željko Perović, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Montenegro to Albania, presented his letters of credence to the President of the Republic, H.E. Prof. Dr. Bamir Topi.

Albanian President Topi, after welcoming H.E. Ambassador Perović and wishing him good luck and every success in his new and important duty, praised the very good bilateral relations between Montenegro and Albania, pointing out the high level of reciprocal political dialogue and the need to increase and strengthen, between both countries, the economic co-operation and trading exchanges in fields of common interest such as tourism.

The President assured Montenegro about the full support from the institutions of the Albanian Presidency, asking Ambassador Perović to convey his warmest greetings to H.E. Montenegrin President Vujanović, also expressing his wish to welcome soon his homologue in Albania.

On his part, H.E. Ambassador Perović, after thanking about the hospitality, expressed his willingness to work for the all sided deepening of the Montenegro-Albania relations, especially the economic one, by stressing that the common future of all the countries of Western Balkan region will be the European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
