PACE will observe presidential election in Montenegro

A three-member delegation from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France (PACE), led by David Wilshire (United Kingdom, European Democrat Group), Mr. David Wilshire (UK) will be in Montenegro from April 3 to 7, 2008, to observe the presidential election, alongside observers from the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR).

The delegation will meet the President of Montenegro, H.E. Mr. Filip Vujanović, candidates standing for election, officials responsible for organising the elections and media representatives. It will then observe the voting on April 6 at a representative sample of polling stations.

The observers will present their conclusions at a joint press conference at 04:30pm on Monday April 7 at the Hotel “Crna Gora”, Bulevar Sv. Petra Cetinjskog 2, Podgorica.
