Tonight, this Saturday March 8 at 06:45pm, Stefan Filipović’s entry for the 53rd Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) was officially revealed to the Montenegrin public during a 45-minute TV show on TVCG 2.
The song, pop-rock in style, called “Zauvijek volim te” (“Never forget that I love you”), was choosen internally — between a selection of 4 finalist compositions — by a 30-member jury appointed by RTCG.

“Zauvijek volim te” was created by a team of Macedonian musicians, including:
 Grigor Koprov, composer;
 Ognen Nedelkovski, author; and
 Vladimir Dojčinovski, arranger.

Grigor Koprov is one of the most famous Macedonian pop music composers, having already worked for severel Balkans stars like Todor “Toše” Proeski (1981-2007) — called the Macedonian “Elvis” by BBC News, and Karolina Gočeva.

Referring to ESC, Grigor Koprov composed in 1997 the song “Ne Zori, Zoro” (“Dawn, Do Not Rise”) with which Vlado Janevski represented the Former Yougoslav Republic of Macedonia at Eurovision 1998 (Birmingham, England; 16 points, 19th place). More recently, he wrote for Karolina Gočeva the song “Mojot Svet” (“My World”), the Macedonian entry to Eurovision 2007 in Helsinki, Finland (73 points, 14th place).

“Zauvijek volim te” has been also recorded in English, under the title “Never forget that I love you”, and should be somewhat rearranged until March 15.

In next May, Stefan Filipović will be able to open the premiere of the new format of ESC which now includes two semi-finals — on May 20 and 22 — and a grand final two days later.
Montenegro will enter Eurovision competition as of the first semi-final, on Tuesday May 20 in Belgrade, Serbia, together with Azerbaijan, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia, The Netherlands, Romania, Moldava, San Marino, Slovenia, Norway, Belgium, Andorra, Armenia and finally Russia.
